附生植物。根状茎横走，粗约1-1.5厘米，密被鳞片；鳞片披针形，棕色，长1-1.5厘米，宽2-3毫米，顶端渐尖，边缘具疏齿。叶近生或远生；叶柄长15-30厘米，禾秆色，光滑无毛；叶片一回羽状，长约40-70厘米，宽约30-40厘米；羽片通常5-10对，长约10-20厘米，宽约2-4厘米，顶端渐尖，基部圆形或下侧阔大，边缘全缘或波状。侧脉明显，小脉不明显。叶片草质或近革质，两面光滑无毛。孢子囊群大，在羽片中脉两侧各1行，位于中脉与边缘之间或略靠近中脉着生；孢子表面具瘤状突起。
产云南、西藏、四川、贵州。附生树干上或石上，海拔1500-2500米。尼泊尔、不丹、锡金、印度北部、缅甸和越南北部。模式标本采自尼泊尔。
